Spencer Thomas Group appoints two new vice presidents

Spencer Thomas Group, a Portsmouth, NH-based human capital management consulting firm, has added Shirley Jones and Hal Lanfear as vice presidents.

Based in Boston, Jones joined the consultancy in January as VP of enterprise solutions. She brings over 35 years of experience in human capital consulting and technology services.

Jones previously spent 13 years at Randstad, the world’s largest staffing and HR consulting firm, where she was latterly VP of enterprise accounts. Before that, she spent 10 years at Pro Staff, where she was group VP.

Jones has a bachelor’s degree in administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Based in Detroit, Lanfear joined Spencer Thomas in October as VP of sales. He has over two decades of experience in human capital consulting.

Lanfear previously spent 15 years at ADP, where he was latterly head of strategy, business development, and operations for the firm’s partner program. He also spent seven years at Delphi, an auto parts manufacturer, where he was latterly global category leader for human capital management.

Lanfear has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Oakland University.

"Hal is uniquely positioned to step into the role with his experience leading global teams and serving as project manager for many HCM and Payroll projects. He's an exceptional addition and will serve our clients well," Cassidy said.

Spencer Thomas was founded in 1998 and has over 140 employees across five offices in the US and Spain, according to LinkedIn. The firm provides services in human capital management strategy, technology, and talent management and acquisition.
