AlixPartners adds Rita Khan and Donald Remy to board of directors
AlixPartners, a New York-headquartered management consultancy, has appointed Rita Khan and Donald Remy to its board of directors.
Khan is an executive with over 25 years of experience in healthcare, technology, and retail. She currently serves as chief consumer officer of Optum, a provider of pharmacy, direct healthcare, and technology services. In the role, Khan focuses on aligning products, services, and digital capabilities for nearly 100 million patients and members.
Before Optum, Khan was the first chief digital officer of the Mayo Clinic, driving virtual care solutions and digital experiences in support of patient and care team needs.
Prior to that, Khan was global VP for product at Digital River, product director for enterprise brands at BestBuy.com, and a systems consultant at Macy’s.
She has an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
Remy is an executive and legal expert with over 30 years of experience across legal, financial services, non-profit, and public sectors. He currently runs his independent consultancy The Remy Group.
Between 2021 and 2023 Remy served as deputy secretary for the US department of veterans affairs. In the role, Remy served as COO overseeing strategy, resources, governance, policy, and management infrastructure for a healthcare and cemetery system with a $325-billion budget and 450,000 employees.
Before that, he spent a decade as COO and chief legal officer of the NCAA, leading strategic planning, media rights, operations, budget management, policy-making, and legal affairs for the $1-billion athletic organization.
Earlier in his career, Remy was a partner and global practice group chair at law firm Latham & Watkins and SVP, chief compliance officer, and deputy general counsel at Fannie Mae.
A former commissioned US Army officer, Remy holds a JD from Howard University.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Rita and Donald to AlixPartners’ board,” said Simon Freakley, CEO of AlixPartners. “Rita’s wealth of strategic, operational, and technology-led experience gained in healthcare and retail, two of the most disrupted and rapidly evolving industries of recent times, complements Donald’s values-driven leadership capabilities and significant experience spanning international business and government affairs. As our firm continues to grow in today’s highly disrupted market conditions, their depth of insight and breadth of experience will prove valuable additions to AlixPartners.”
AlixPartners provides consulting in turnaround and restructuring, performance improvement, risk and disputes, economics, transactions, technology, and leadership. The firm has more than 2,500 employees across 20+ global offices.
