AlixPartners buys agentic AI consultancy Artium

AlixPartners, a New York-headquartered management consulting firm, has acquired Artium, a Los Angeles-based agentic AI software consulting firm.

Founded in 2019, Artium specializes in building and launching enterprise-grade agents for leading organizations such as eBay, BNY Mellon, and Mayo Clinic. The firm deploys AI agents for internal process automation and builds agentic-powered customer experiences.

Artium has more than 80 employees listed on LinkedIn and is an OpenAI advanced partner and Anthropic Claude partner.

AlixPartners’ acquisition of Artium will open new opportunities to help clients integrate technology that delivers sustainable performance improvements.

Artium will operate as a distinct team within AlixPartners, and will maintain its founders and staff, methodology, and lab relationships. It will rebrand to “Artium by AlixPartners.”

Investment bank Equiteq served as financial advisor to Artium on the deal, while CBIZ served as tax advisor. PwC served as tax advisor to AlixPartners’ in-house M&A team.
