Alvarez & Marsal hires John Taylor as managing director in Los Angeles
Alvarez & Marsal, a global management consulting firm, has hired John Taylor as a Los Angeles-based managing director in its disputes & investigations (DI) practice.
Taylor brings more than 35 years of experience specializing in business and litigation consulting, including damages analyses and appraisal standards and practice. He has served as an expert witness on matters pertaining to minority-interest buyouts, bankruptcy proceedings, damages analysis, post-transaction disputes, and royalty and intellectual property disputes.
Taylor focuses on valuation of business entities and their equity instruments, IP, property, stock, business damages and lost profits, and strategic alternatives.
He joins Alvarez & Marsal from Houlihan Lokey, where he spent the last 16 years and served as managing director and global leader of the dispute resolution consulting and financial expert opinions practice. Before that, Taylor spent 9 years as president of JT Panglobal Consulting, a boutique financial and strategic advisory firm, and 13 years at Deloitte, where he was latterly national director valuation and realty consulting services.
Taylor has a bachelor ‘s degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and is an accredited senior appraiser and certified management consultant.
