Booz Allen Hamilton buys PAR Government Systems Corporation
Booz Allen Hamilton, a public sector-focused management and technology consultancy, has acquired PAR Government Systems Corporation (PGSC), a provider of mobile situational awareness technology to the defense and intelligence sectors.
Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Rome, NY, PGSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation, a leading provider of operations and technology solutions for the restaurant sector.
PGSC specializes in real-time communications and mobile situational awareness tools to maintain battlespace dominance and counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The firm has 200 employees listed on LinkedIn and offices in 40 locations worldwide.
Booz Allen’s acquisition of PGSC will enhance its ability to meet the evolving needs of defense clients in advanced geospatial mapping, counter-UAV solutions, situational awareness, and proliferated low earth orbit (pLEO) space data solutions.
“With increasing threats to joint all domain operations and heightened geopolitical uncertainty, securing the nation’s future against the pacing threat requires industry to invest and innovate in new ways. This acquisition reinforces Booz Allen’s commitment to help accelerate the modernization of tactical warfighting mission systems and secure the future,” said Judi Dotson, president of Booz Allen’s global defense business.
PGSC will be rolled into Booz Allen’s defense business, which supports the DOD with solutions across cybersecurity, analytics, digital, engineering and science, and consulting.
“We look forward to applying our combined solutions for greater and broader impact on missions that matter, and infusing our analytical development with increased resources, tools, team members, and industry-level best practices to empower the nation’s warfighters and meet these next-gen warfare demands,” said Michael Nelson, president at PGSC.
Booz Allen is based in McLean, VA and has 34,200 people globally and annual revenue of $10.7 billion.
