Oliver Wyman names new CMO and CIO
Oliver Wyman, a New York-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Heather Stern as chief marketing officer and Neema Uthappa as chief information officer.
Based in New York, Stern will oversee all marketing activities for the businesses of Oliver Wyman Group, including Lippincott and NERA. She will also join the marketing and communications leadership team of parent company Marsh McLennan.
Stern has over 20 years of experience in strategic marketing and brand management, including 12 years at Lippincott, Marsh McLellan’s brand strategy and design arm. She most recently served as CMO and director of business development at Lippincott.
Earlier in her career, Stern was VP of marketing at Kantar Millward Brown.
She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Northwestern University.

Based in Boston, Uthappa will oversee technology across all of Oliver Wyman Group. She will also join the Marsh McLennan technology leadership team.
Uthappa has 23 years of experience in digital transformation, with expertise across AI, blockchain, and RPA.
She joins Oliver Wyman from McKinsey & Company, where she spent the last three years as head of engineering for cloud data analytics and AI. Before that, Uthappa spent four years at healthcare company McKesson, where she was global director of automation, AI, and platform engineering.
She also spent five years at American Express, where she held several business, finance, and application leadership roles.
Earlier in her career, Uthappa spent eight years in the Indian Navy, where she was one of the first executive women officers in the Works Branch.
She has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University in India and an executive degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management.
