AArete names Michael Davison as chief financial officer
AArete, a Chicago-headquartered management and technology consulting firm, has promoted Michael Davison to chief financial officer.
Davison succeeds Skip Behm, the firm’s former CFO & COO, who retired on July 1, 2024. Behm is remaining with AArete to serve as an advisor and board member.
Davison brings more than 25 years of financial experience in optimizing operating plans and driving company performance. He has been at AArete for the last five years, serving as VP of finance.
In his prior role, Davison managed the consultancy’s finance and accounting teams and modernized its financial reporting systems.
“Mike has done an excellent job in implementing and integrating our reporting systems to ensure we have the right data at the right time, enabling us to make sound business decisions and prepare for continued growth. I look forward to working more closely with Mike and other firm leaders to chart the next chapter of AArete’s growth story,” said Loren Trimble, CEO of AArete.
Before AArete, Davison spent two years as CFO of Grenzebach Glier and Associates, a Chicago-based fundraising consulting firm that was acquired by Huron earlier this year.
Before that, he spent 18 years in Boston Consulting Group’s finance and accounting functions, latterly as an affiliate controller and senior manager.
Davison has an executive MBA in management from Northwestern University, an MBA in finance from DePaul University, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Valparaiso University.
AArete was founded in 2008 and delivers strategy, profitability improvement, data and analytics, and technology services to healthcare, education, financial services, and public sector clients. The firm has more than 500 people across offices in the US, UK, and India.
