Bain partner Michael Collins joins Jacobs board of directors
Michael Collins, partner and chief operating officer of consulting firm Bain & Company, has joined the board of Jacobs, a Dallas-headquartered design and engineering consulting firm.
Collins’ election to the board of directors comes into effect on September 23, 2024.
Based in Chicago, Collins brings more than 35 years of experience in professional services, with extensive experience advising on growth strategy, M&A, and organizational change.
He has been at Bain since 1992, serving as chief operating officer since 2021 and as chief financial officer between 2013 and 2021.
A longtime partner in the firm’s retail, consumer products, and strategy practices, Collins also previously served as managing partner of Bain’s Chicago and Toronto offices.
Prior to his tenure at the Big Three strategy firm, Collins spent four years at KPMG, where he held audit, tax, and consulting roles.
He has an MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola University, Chicago.
"We are delighted to have Michael join our Board of Directors,” said Bob Pragada, CEO of Jacobs, who was also appointed as board chair earlier this month. “His global management consulting experience will bring invaluable insights and strategic guidance as we continue to grow our higher value, high-margin consulting and advisory services. We look forward to his contributions as we continue to expand our global impact and deliver sustainable innovative solutions to our clients."
