Rimkus buys Human Factors Consulting Services Inc.
Rimkus, a Houston-based engineering and technical consulting firm, has acquired Human Factors Consulting Services Inc. (HFCSI), a Los Angeles-based human factors and engineering and medical device consulting firm.
Founded in 2006, HFCSI primarily supports medical devices firms with services in user-centered design, usability testing, and risk assessments. The firm’s offerings include behavioral and cognitive task analyses, ethnographic testing, prototyping and design iteration, mobile device design and integration, and training and documentation.
HFCSI has 11 employees, according to its website.
Rimkus will roll HFCSI into its Core Human Factors group, which it acquired in 2022. The Core team provides human factors analysis on consumer, industrial, and healthcare-related products.

Rimkus focuses on forensic consulting, construction dispute resolution, solutions for the built environment, and product development support for the consumer, industrial, and healthcare industries.
The firm has more than 1,500 people across 110+ offices globally.
