OC&C Strategy Consulting adds Ed Plummer as Partner in NYC
UK-based OC&C Strategy Consulting has welcomed back Ed Plummer as a Partner in its Private Equity and TMT practices. The talent addition is part of the firm’s strategy of expanding its capabilities in the US – the world’s most lucrative consulting market.
Founded in 1987 in London by two former Booz Allen & Hamilton partners, OC&C has grown into a global strategy firm employing 500+ professionals across three continents. In addition to its UK headquarters, the firm has additional offices in the US (NYC), Germany, France, Poland, Istanbul, China, and Brazil.
Competing with other strategy firms like McKinsey, Bain, and BCG, OC&C offers clients consulting support in the areas of business strategy, operations, marketing & sales, M&A, private equity, and analytics.
The firms is currently in the process of expanding its team, clients, and practice areas in its New York City office, with OC&C International Managing Partner James George relating that “The US is at the top of our agenda.” To that end, the firm recently added Matt Fish as its seventh US Partner, bolstering the company’s Industrial Products and Private Equity practices.Now, OC&C has added another Partner at the NYC office – namely, Ed Plummer, who was previously a Manager with the firm. A seasoned consultant, Plummer will reinforce the firm’s Private Equity and Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) practice. He brings deep consulting experience in the areas of B2B information and software – developing strategy and performing due-diligence in the areas of fintech, cybersecurity, DevOps, compliance, and healthcare.

Previously, Plummer was a Director at Bulger Partners for two years, leading strategy and due diligence engagements for software companies and investors. Before that, he was a Principal at Oliver Wyman (which acquired OC&C Boston in 2014), likewise working on strategy and due diligence in the software industry. Before that, he was a Manager at OC&C’s Boston office from 2010-2014. Plummer started his consulting career at Stroud Consulting in Boston, working in the area of operations and business process improvement.

Plummer holds a Masters in Engineering from Cornell University, as well as a BE/BA in Civil Engineering and Political Science from the University of Canterbury.
