Lucid Group reorganizes consulting offering
Lucid Group, a London-headquartered healthcare communications consultancy, has combined its management consulting and pharma asset strategy divisions into a new practice named Lucid Strategy Consulting.
The practice – which has team members across the UK, US, and India – will provide life sciences clients with consulting services in transformational design and enablement, integrated asset and portfolio commercialization strategy, and data and technology innovation and adoption.
The strategy consulting practice is led by managing director Simon Bates, who has joined the firm’s London office. Bates brings more than 25 years of consulting experience and was previously a partner at PA Consulting and a managing partner at Atos Consulting.
“Lucid Strategy Consulting brings together the right minds – strategic, scientific, commercial, and behavioral – to help our clients unlock progress,” Bates said. “Patients’ evolving needs and behaviors, plus the complex challenges faced by healthcare providers and payors, mean life science clients need agility, innovation, and grit from their consulting partners. So we embed ourselves in our clients’ challenges, co-create pragmatic strategies that move people, align organizations and accelerate change where it matters most.”
Lucid says that every member of its strategy consulting team holds advanced degrees in life sciences, business management, or economics. The team’s recent engagements include leveraging AI-powered insights to transform strategic planning, using data and technology to uncover a new patient pathway in a rare disease, and enabling faster market access for new therapies.
Lucid Group was founded in 2007 and has 500+ people across the UK, US, and India. The firm’s other practices include scientific and medical communications, commercial communications, business intelligence, and AI-powered solutions.
Lucid has a US location in Philadelphia.
