Crowe launches AI-powered Crowe Studio
Crowe US, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has launched Crowe Studio, a new business unit that will help clients develop, launch, and scale AI-native solutions.
Built for speed and flexibility, Crowe Studio will operate outside of traditional professional services delivery models that focus on large cohorts of junior staff and billable hours.
“Crowe views Crowe Studio as a long-term transformation and self-disruption engine for the firm and the clients it serves, with a growing pipeline of platform-native offerings planned beyond the initial launch,” the Chicago-headquartered firm said in a press release. “This shift away from hourly billing toward an integrated model allows Crowe to incubate technology-enabled ventures inside client ecosystems.”
Crowe Studio will initially provide three offerings:
- Crowe Y-Hire, a managed hiring model that leverages AI agents
- Crowe AI Transformation, a full-service offering for designing, building, and deploying enterprise-grade AI initiatives
- Crowe Tax AI, a service that reshapes tax functions with AI and predictive planning
"Crowe Studio is built to help clients get out of the pilot trap and into scalable execution," said John Epperson, managing principal of Crowe Studio. "We’re designing solutions that embed AI, automate intelligently, and create lasting business value.”
Crowe, which has more than 5,000 employees in 40 offices, says it will continue to grow its tech ecosystem with additional partnerships with third-party platforms and solution providers.
The firm will also use Crowe Studio’s capabilities internally to build new business models, assess operational risk, and scale global delivery.
"The pace of change and the levels of investment we’re seeing in our industry will drastically alter what the accounting and consulting profession looks like in just five years. Crowe Studio is our commitment to lead that transformation from the inside out—redefining how we deliver value to both our clients and our people,” said Steven Strammello, CEO of Crowe US.
