Sonny Thadani rejoins Accordion as New York office leader

Sonny Thadani has rejoined Accordion, a financial consultancy focusing on the private equity sector, as office leader of its New York City headquarters.

In his new role, Thadani will oversee strategy and culture of the firm’s largest office.

Thadani joined Accordion in 2010, shortly after its founding, and helped grow the consultancy as chief operating officer – overseeing operations, infrastructure, and people strategy.

He left the firm in 2020 to co-found and lead Robin, a mental coaching platform for students.

Prior to joining Accordion, Thadani spent seven years in the real estate industry, serving as a VP at Brown Harris Stevens and as an associate at Kurland Realty.

He has a bachelor of science degree from Syracuse University.

Accordion was founded in 2009 and has grown to 1,400 people across eight offices in the US and international locations in the UK and India.

The firm supports the office of the CFO at private equity-backed companies with services across foundational accounting, strategic financial planning and analysis enhancement, performance, transaction support, and turnaround and restructuring solutions.
