Capco announces partnerships with OpenAI and Enerex
Capco, a London-headquartered management and technology consultancy, this month announced strategic partnerships with OpenAI and Enerex, a Houston-based provider of energy management solutions.
The services partnership with OpenAI will focus on providing innovative solutions for financial services and energy sector clients, including in product design, operational change, regulatory compliance, customer experience, and employee productivity.
The partnership will provide Capco with early access to OpenAI’s technology, technical support, solution architects, and training resources.
Capco’s existing OpenAI-powered solutions include Compliance Assist, which allows banks to scan upcoming regulatory changes and automatically identify changes required for compliant processes and procedures.
“Capco has always been committed to offering pragmatic generative and agentic solutions that drive AI-led, customer-centric transformation in a scalable and repeatable fashion,” said Chris Probert, partner and global head of data, analytics & AI at Capco. “Opening the way to deeper collaboration with the OpenAI team, this services partnership allows us to pursue our shared vision of building custom AI models and tools that reimagine and accelerate the future evolution of our clients’ businesses.”
Under the partnership with Enerex, Capco will serve as recommended system integrator for the firm’s suite of software products.
Enerex’s flagship product is Sparkplug, a leading retail energy sales platform that powers over 10% of US commercial and industrial transactions. Enerex also offers Exchange, a trusted central hub for brokers and suppliers to share retail energy data, and Propeller, a sales management solution that connects retail energy suppliers’ sales channels to back-office operations.
“The retail energy industry is undergoing a rapid transformation in the technology and platforms required to stay competitive,” said Jonathan Clites, partner and lead for the retail and wholesale energy practice at Capco. “Enerex is leading this evolution with its comprehensive suite of applications, empowering clients to expand their broker networks, boost sales team efficiency, and streamline operations – while reducing the total cost of ownership for their technology stack.”
Capco was founded in 1998 and has over 6,500 consultants globally. The firm works with financial services and energy companies on strategy and transformation, risk and compliance, digital engineering, data and analytics, systems integration, and cybersecurity.
