EY appoints Neal Thomas as Louisville office head
EY has appointed Neal Thomas as office managing partner for Louisville, Kentucky, effective December 19, 2025.
Thomas, who has been with the firm for 27 years, succeeds Greg Pope, who led the Louisville office for the last eight years. Pope is retiring from EY this year after more than two decades with the Big Four accountancy.
“I look forward to seeing Neal bring fresh perspectives to our team, strengthen our contributions to the Louisville business community, continue the firm’s tradition of outstanding service, and take us to even greater heights,” Pope said.
Thomas currently serves as a global client services partner. He joined EY in 1999 as a staff auditor and was named a partner in 2016.
A Louisville native, Thomas serves on the advisory board of the University of Kentucky Von Allmen School of Accountancy and on the boards of Louisville Urban League and Kentucky Country Day School.
He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky.
“It is an honor to step into this role and build upon the remarkable foundation Greg and all of our previous OMP’s have established for EY in Louisville,” Thomas said. “With the dedication of our talented team and the trust of our clients, I am confident we will continue to shape the future of our business community with confidence — driving innovation, supporting growth and upholding the legacy of excellence that has defined EY in Louisville for over 100 years.”
EY also recently appointed Hala Martin as office managing partner for San Francisco.
