Ankura hires Karthik Chandrasekar as head of digital practice

Ankura, a New York-headquartered expert services and advisory firm, has hired Karthik Chandrasekar as its global head of digital.

Based in Houston, Chandrasekar will lead the integration of digital and innovative strategies across Ankura’s services.

He brings 25+ years of experience advising large companies and private equity on digital transformation, business and growth strategy, operational excellence, and commercial differentiation. Chandrasekar has worked with clients to reimagine operating models, migrate from product‑centric to service‑led growth strategies, and harness emerging technologies.

He most recently spent eight months as global managing partner for energy, manufacturing, and resources at Wipro Consulting. Before that, Chandrasekar spent 18 years with Accenture, where he was a managing director. He began his consulting career as a business analyst at Deloitte.

Chandrasekar has an MBA from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Drexel University.

“Karthik is a respected global leader at the intersection of strategy, technology, and innovation,” said Kevin Lavin, CEO of Ankura. “As organizations confront accelerating digital disruption driven by data, AI, and evolving customer expectations, his experience and vision will significantly enhance our ability to turn complexity into clarity and deliver digital‑first, data‑enabled solutions that drive meaningful outcomes at scale.”

Ankura has more than 2,000 professionals across 35+ global locations. The firm delivers advisory services in turnaround, finance, operations, risk and disputes, investigations, talent, data, and AI.

“Digital acceleration has infused relentless change where disruption is the new normal,” said Karthik. “Ankura Digital stands at the forefront, ready to transform challenges into catalysts for operational excellence, growth, and innovation.”

Ankura recently hired Charles Baker as head of its payer government programs compliance and operations practice.
