ERM and Ecolumix partner on EHS benchmarking
ERM, a London-headquartered sustainability consulting firm, has entered a strategic partnership with Ecolumix, a Bethesda, MD-based provider of US environmental, health, and safety (EHS) data intelligence and benchmarking.
With businesses facing rising regulatory expectations in EHS performance and an increase in public data transparency, the partners will provide EHS leaders with a comprehensive view of their organization’s performance at the enterprise and facility levels against US industry peers.
The partnership combines ERM’s expertise in EHS programs, regulatory compliance, and operational performance improvement with Ecolumix’s expertise in analyzing EHS data across millions of facilities and hundreds of KPIs.
“ERM’s partnership with Ecolumix will help our clients to see how they compare against peers, understand performance variability across their own operations, and apply ERM’s expertise to turn those insights into targeted, sustainable EHS performance improvements,” said Ramesh Narasimhan, global managing partner for safe & sustainable operations at ERM.
ERM and Ecolumix are already working on client engagements in measuring facility-level EHS performance and risk, applying performance data to more effectively target EHS audits, and assessing supplier and vendor EHS risks.
“Ecolumix assesses data in context – across operations and against peers – to pinpoint where risk truly exists and where investment and corrective action will matter most,” said Doug Parker, CEO at Ecolumix. “Paired with ERM’s deep technical and regulatory expertise, these insights translate into practical, defensible actions that help companies prioritize resources, reduce regulatory and reputational risk, and drive real improvement at the facility level – where EHS performance truly matters.”
ERM bills itself as the world’s largest pure-play sustainability consulting firm. The UK-based consultancy has over 8,000 employees across 40+ countries, including 2,000+ US employees across 50+ offices.
Ecolumix was founded in 2020 and has 14 employees listed on LinkedIn.
