Bain & Company names Hernan Saenz as head of strategy and transformation
Bain & Company has appointed Hernan Saenz as leader of its global strategy and transformation practice.
Saenz succeeds Dunigan O’Keeffe, who led the practice for six years and oversaw the combination of Bain’s strategy and transformation capabilities into one unit. O’Keeffe will remain at the consultancy as a senior partner.
Saenz is based in Dallas and has been with Bain for more than 25 years. A senior partner and former board member, Saenz previously spent eight years as global leader of the performance improvement practice. During his tenure, Saenz more than tripled the practice in scale.
Before that, he was head of the Dallas, Houston, and Mexico markets.
Saenz is also an advisor to the World Economic Forum and teaches courses on strategy and operations at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business.
He has an MBA and master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University, a master’s degree in economics from Stanford University, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University.
“Transformation has been part of our Bain DNA for more than 50 years. It’s at the core of what we do. Under Hernan’s leadership, our Strategy & Transformation practice will harness the full range of Bain’s capabilities, and its deep expertise across industries, to enable clients to reinvent their businesses with bold, industry-defining strategies and dynamic execution to create maximum value,” said François Faelli, global head of capabilities at Bain & Company.
Bain’s strategy and transformation practice has offerings across corporate and business strategy, innovation, performance transformation, digital transformation, people and organization, and ESG transformation.
“I’m excited to work with our clients at this defining moment to drive towards industry leadership, and to bring Bain’s expertise to help them chart their course and turn their ambitions into reality,” Saenz said.
