EY names Marney MacKenna as Dallas office leader
EY has promoted Marney MacKenna to office managing partner (OMP) for Dallas, effective April 1, 2026.
MacKenna succeeds Michelle Vopni, who is retiring at the end of June after 35 years with the Big Four accountancy. Vopni led the Dallas office for the last 10 years, overseeing a period of significant growth in the market.
“Marney’s proven leadership will continue to make a positive impact for our team and our clients as she takes on what I consider to be the best role in professional services: leading EY in Dallas,” Vopni said.
In her new role, MacKenna will lead a team of 3,000 audit, assurance, tax, and consulting professionals.
An assurance partner who has been with EY since 2002, MacKenna has more than 30 years of experience advising clients in Dallas on accounting matters and finance transformations. Before joining EY, she spent eight years with Arthur Andersen, where she was an audit manager.
MacKenna has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baylor University and is a certified public accountant.
“In my decades of working in Dallas, I’ve seen firsthand how adaptability and entrepreneurial spirit fuel our city’s growth – and EY has those same qualities,” MacKenna said. “I’m honored to step into this role and lead our commitment to serving Dallas businesses and our community.”
EY’s other office leader appointments in recent months include Daniel Washburn as OMP for Fort Worth, Kristi Eckert as OMP for Cincinnati, Neal Thomas as OMP for Louisville, and Hala Martin as OMP for San Francisco.
