Simon-Kucher, a sales and marketing consultancy, has hired Andrew Kutter and Owen Tindle as partners and co-leaders of the transaction services and private equity (TSPE) practice in the Americas.

The two new partners will significantly bolster the German firm’s existing US TSPE team. The appointments continue the expansion of the practice, which has added four new partners in Europe in the last 15 months.

“These appointments are part of the broader growth and momentum we’re seeing across Simon-Kucher in North America,” said Brad Soper, managing partner of the Americas at Simon-Kucher. “We continue to invest in exceptional talent and strengthen our capabilities as we expand our business across the region.”

Based in San Francisco, Kutter brings more than 20 years of management consulting experience. He has advised on several hundred transactions, providing support across market attractiveness, competitive dynamics, customer behavior, and commercial performance. Kutter has particular expertise in business services and industrials.

He joins from Alvarez and Marsal, where he spent the last 15 years as a managing director in the private equity performance improvement (PEPI) practice. Before that, he spent 18 years at L.E.K. Consulting, where he was a partner.

Kutter has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rochester.

“I look forward to broadening our impact across the Americas and helping clients translate investment opportunities into commercial results,” Kutter said.

Based in Boston, Tindle has 18 years of transaction advisory experience, having supported nearly 500 transactions. He specializes in deals in technology and technology-enabled business services, and has expertise across market assessment, customer insights, competitive positioning, and growth strategy.

Tindle previously spent 18 years with M&A consultancy Stax (acquired last year by Grant Thornton), where he was a managing director.

He has an MBA from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree from Bentley University.

“I look forward to scaling our presence, deepening sponsor relationships, and delivering measurable impact for our clients,” Tindle said.

Simon-Kucher has more than 2,200 employees, including 250+ in the United States. The firm specializes in commercial strategy – advising on product, pricing, innovation, marketing, and sales.
