Eliassen Group acquires IT-focused Webster Consulting Group
Eliassen Group, a Reading, MA–based IT consulting and staffing firm, has acquired Webster Consulting Group, a Woburn, MA-based boutique IT consulting and staffing solutions company.
Eliassen Group delivers consulting and staffing solutions in the areas of information technology, emerging technology, agile, creative services, and managed services. The firm works with a wide range of industries, including financial services, retail, life sciences, and the government sector. Eliassen also provides both IT consultant recruiting as well as direct hire talent for IT roles.
The firm has been in business for 30 years, and has over a dozen offices coast-to-coast across the United States.
Eliassen has acquired another, smaller Massachusetts firm with similar competencies. Webster Consulting Group provides IT consulting and staffing resources in project management, business analysis, software QA, architecture and development, and data and analytics. The firm was founded in 2010 by Tim Stone and Paul McMahon, who will join Eliassen as principal consultants.
"The combination of Webster Consulting Group and Eliassen Group is an ideal union, with our service offerings, particularly those of programming and project management, perfectly complementing those of Eliassen Group," said Stone.
Dave MacKeen, CEO of Eliassen Group, added, “This strategic partnership with Webster Consulting Group broadens Eliassen Group's client base, enabling us to serve a wider community of both clients and consultants alike. Webster Consulting Group is an ideal fit for Eliassen Group, as they operate with the same level of integrity and reliability that have come to define who we are.”
Eliassen is an Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private company, and was a 2018 finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition. The company was also named one of the Largest IT Staffing Firms in the US (2019) by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA).
Earlier this year, the firm acquired Credere Group, a Denver-based management consulting and staffing firm, and Project One, a NYC-based IT staffing firm.
Eliassen was itself acquired by private equity firm Stone Point Capital in November 2018.
