Mercer Digital names Leo Watt East US and Canada growth team leader
Health, wealth, and career consultancy Mercer has announced the appointment for Leo Watt as Mercer Digital’s team leader for the East US and Canada markets, a position in which he will be tasked with driving growth of the firm’s Workday and ServiceNow practices. He will be based in Philadelphia and report to Pete Maxwell, who in May was named Mercer Digital’s sales leader.
“Mercer’s Workday and ServiceNow practices help companies engage their employees in the future of work,” Maxwell said. “Leo’s leadership experience and knowledge in both technology and sales will help us further provide exceptional service and solutions to our clients while strategically growing Mercer Digital in the East market.”
Like Maxwell, Watt is a former employee of ERP software firm Workday. He joined Mercer in February from the company, where he worked as an account executive for large enterprises. After joining Mercer, he served as a senior account manager for the consulting firm’s Workday practice before taking on his new role.
Before that, Watt was director of business development at McKesson Health Solutions, the healthcare business of the McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 500 Global pharmaceutical distribution, health IT, medical supply, and care management tool company. There, he worked to establish inter-business relationships, plan strategy, and improve processes with the organization. He also worked with the company as a senior engagement manager.
Watt also has experience as manager of business systems at Dorman Products, a supplier of automotive replacement parts. Additionally, he worked for nearly a decade at Medecision, a healthcare technology company that provides management solutions for managed care organizations, first as a senior quality assurance analyst, then as technical lead, and finally as a project manager. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Temple University and an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University.
Mercer employs more than 23,000 people and operates out of 130 offices in 44 countries. The firm is a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, a professional services firm that focuses on risk, strategy, and people and reports annual revenue of approximately $17 billion.
