Baker Tilly appoints Angela MacPhee as head of consulting business
Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, a Chicago-based accounting and consulting firm, has appointed Angela MacPhee as managing partner of consulting. She will remain based in Denver.
MacPhee succeeds Ethan Bach, who was promoted to managing partner of innovation and solutions.
As consulting leader, MacPhee will oversee practices which include business advisory services, forensics and litigation services, government contractor services, enterprise transformation and digital solutions, healthcare consulting, enterprise solutions and services, real estate advisory, and client accounting services.
MacPhee has more than 20 years of consulting and finance leadership experience. She has been with Baker Tilly since 2018, serving as the leader of the global forensics practice. Before that, MacPhee was CEO of RGL Forensics, a Denver-based financial investigations consultancy which was acquired by Baker Tilly in 2018. Prior to serving as CEO, she spent a year as the firm’s CFO and chief administrative officer, and a year as COO.Before joining RGL, MacPhee was the CFO of Timberline Steel, a $75 million company, leading the firm through an acquisition by O’Neal Steel, a $2.6 billion corporation based in Birmingham, Alabama.
She began her career at Arthur Andersen, where she was a senior auditor. MacPhee holds an MBA and a BS in accounting from the University of Colorado, and is a certified public accountant.
