CBIZ acquires HR consulting firm BeyondPay
CBIZ, a national professional services firm, has acquired BeyondPay, a Clinton, New Jersey-based HR technology consulting firm. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1995, BeyondPay provides workforce management solutions to clients across industries. The firm uses the popular Kronos Workforce Ready HCM platform to help companies better manage talent acquisition, payroll & tax filing, time & labor management, scheduling, and performance management, among other areas.
The New Jersey-based firm has 40 employees and is led by co-founders Chris Tanis and Jacob Tanis. BeyondPay has approximately $4.6 million in annual revenue.
CBIZ’s acquisition of BeyondPay will strengthen its HR and payroll solutions offering.

Cleveland-based CBIZ provides insurance brokerage, accounting, tax, and consulting services. The publicly traded company delivers services in P&C and life insurance, employee benefits and retirement plan consulting, payroll, executive recruitment, and HR consulting.
Through associated firm CBIZ MHM, LLC, the company also offers services in accounting, tax, financial advisory, risk advisory, valuation, real estate consulting, and government healthcare consulting.
CBIZ and CBIZ MHM together have more than 4,800 employees across 100+ US offices, with annual revenues of approximately $950 million.

The BeyondPay acquisition follows on the heels of CBIZ’s purchase of most of the assets of ARC Consulting and ARC Placement in San Francisco. Founded in 2007, ARC provided specialized accounting and advisory services to high-growth companies in the Bay Area. The firm had 46 employees and annual revenue of $17.3 million.
