Mazars USA opens Boston office
Accounting and consulting firm Mazars USA has expanded into New England with a Boston location. The new office is located at 75 State Street, in the financial district of downtown Boston.
The new Boston office is part of Mazars’ ongoing efforts to enhance its capabilities in strategic markets in the US. It will mark the 11th US office for the New York-based firm, which has approximately 800 employees and annual revenue of $412 million, according to ZoomInfo.
The Boston office will focus on serving asset managers, registered investment advisors, and investment companies. “And where better to expand than in Boston, which has a storied history in investment management,” said Charles Abraham, partner and financial services practice leader at Mazars USA.
“Being in Boston helps us provide enhanced local support for our global financial services clients,” he added. “Along with New York and Chicago, our expansion in Boston ensures that we’re in, and invested in, the major financial services markets in the US. It also helps us attract high-quality talent and resources that reside and work in the Boston area.”
Emmanuel Dooseman, leader of Mazars’ global banking practice, noted that Boston’s talent pool includes students and graduates from the top US universities, as well as related startups and incubators.
The Boston location will initially focus on providing financial services industry clients with audit and risk consulting services. “But we’re able to offer a full complement of services thanks to our extensive resources throughout the firm, nationally and internationally,” Dooseman said.
Mazars International’s global financial services practice has more than 4,000 specialists across 60 countries. The international network of accounting and consulting firms, of which Mazars USA is an independent member, has more than 40,000 professionals in 90+ countries.
Mazars USA was formed from Weiser, a 100-year-old accounting firm that joined the international Mazars network in 2010. Weiser rebranded to Mazars USA in 2017, and has expanded nationally since then.
The firm in June 2020 expanded into Texas with a Dallas location. In 2019, Mazars opened a Los Angeles office.
