Mazars USA adds Lori Hack and team from Object Health
The healthcare consulting practice of Mazars in the US has added Lori Hack and her team from healthcare IT consultancy Object Health.
Hack, a healthcare industry expert with more than 25 years of experience, founded Object Health in 2007. The Walnut Creek, CA-based firm advises healthcare organizations, government agencies, and communities on the adoption of client information technology. The firm provides support on health information exchange, value-based reimbursement, quality improvement, managed care consulting, program management support, and privacy and compliance.
The Object Health team is composed of senior consultants Bob Jordan, Valerie Tuerk, and Kasham Montenegro, and consultants Stacey Attanasio and Sandra Arrivillaga.
Hack has extensive expertise in behavioral health, quality- and value-based care, and IT compliance. Before founding Object, she was an executive director at Health Technology Center, where she oversaw the operations, marketing, and development of a non-profit research entity focused on emerging healthcare technologies. Before that, she was executive director at Alta Bates Medical Group, a network of 500 providers in primary and specialty care. In the role, she negotiated managed care agreements, implemented value-based reimbursement strategies, and developed IT infrastructure.
Hack holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BS in psychology and business from UCLA.
The addition of the Object Health team will strengthen Mazars’ national healthcare consulting practice, bolstering capabilities in medical group and health plan operations advisory. Hack will join as a principal.
"Lori and her colleagues bring a great deal of experience serving a broad range of healthcare entities, from medical groups and health plans to county and state agencies, which will be of particular value to our clients as the healthcare sector continues to go through significant change,” said Gil Enos, national healthcare practice leader. “We are excited to have them join our team."
Mazars' healthcare practice offers specialized payer-provider advisory services – including managed care plan development, value and risk-based contracting, and provider data management – as well as consulting on regulatory compliance and performance improvement.
"I am thrilled to be joining Mazars at this time of significant expansion for the firm," Hack said. "I know that I speak for all of my team members when I say that we look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional services to our existing clients backed by the greater capabilities of the national and international firm.”
Mazars recently opened its 11th US office with the launch of a new location in Boston in January. The New York-based accounting and consulting firm has approximately 800 employees in the US, and is a member firm of the international Mazars network, which has 40,000 employees in 90+ countries.
