Simon-Kucher promotes Andy Ong and Stephen Dunbar to partner
Global strategy and commercial consulting firm Simon-Kucher has appointed two new partners in its US offices.
Andy Ong and Stephen Dunbar have been promoted from the firm’s internal ranks, having both been with Simon-Kucher & Partners for around a decade. The duo are now partners in the firm’s healthcare and life sciences division.
San Francisco based Andy Ong focuses on US market access, pricing, and contracting strategies for managed markets (commercial, medicare and medicaid / CHIP payer channels, hospital inpatient and outpatient channels). He also deals with value communication and global value, access, and pricing strategies for new and established therapies and technologies.
Covering a range of specialty and primary care therapeutic areas, including allergy and immunology, infectious diseases, neurology, oncology, orphan indications, and cell and gene therapy, Ong works with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthtech companies from the Americas to Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Ong previously worked out of Simon-Kucher’s Boston and Bonn (global headquarters) offices.
Stephen Dunbar is head of Simon-Kucher’s Chicago office and head of the firm’s Life Sciences division in the region. He focuses on advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies, with a particular focus on the US market.
While working across a wide range of therapeutic areas, he has developed a specialization in oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases. In addition, Dunbar has supported leading animal health and healthtech companies in developing pricing and promotional strategies for therapeutic and clinical innovations.
Ong and Dunbar's promotion is part of a global intake of seven new partners in the healthcare and life sciences division, four of which are based in Europe.
