Artefact, a Paris-headquartered marketing and data consulting firm, has expanded its operations into the US. The firm will base its national headquarters in New York, with additional presence in Los Angeles.

The company – which supports large multinationals with services in digital marketing, data marketing, and data consulting – has hired Ghadi Hobeika to lead business development in the US. He will serve as managing partner of Artefact USA.

Hobeika has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, ecommerce, and strategy consulting. He previously spent four years at real estate giant Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, where he was chief marketing officer for the US and EVP of media sales, marketing & digital.

Before that, he was marketing director at French retailer Fnac Darty and French ecommerce site Pixmania. Earlier in his career, Hobeika was a strategy consultant in Bain & Company’s Paris office and a senior associate at EY France, where he focused on financial audit.

Hobeika has an MBA from Essec Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from American University of Beirut.

"This is the start of an exciting new chapter for Artefact and we have big plans to help US brands complete long-term transformational business and marketing strategies by leveraging our digital and data ecosystems. I am looking forward to the months ahead," Hobeika said.

Artefact’s expansion into the US market will give the global firm a presence across Western Europe, South Africa, the UAE, Malaysia, China, Australia, Brazil, and the US. Artefact has approximately 1,000 employees, according to LinkedIn.

“With major hubs in EMEA, Asia, and the Americas (US and Brazil), our expanding global footprint helps us to become an even better partner to our existing clients, while developing new opportunities with additional enterprises,” said Vincent Luciani, cofounder and co-CEO of Artefact.

Founded in 1998, the firm’s offerings cover digital marketing (creative and advertising, paid social, SEO, ecommerce); data marketing (content optimization, ad and marketing tech platforms, analytics); and data consulting (strategy and governance, demand forecasting, data for private equity).

The company’s client roster includes leading firms such as Samsung, Danone, L’Oréal, and Sanofi.
