Zinnov hires Prasamit Kalita as principal in digital practice

Zinnov, a Houston-based IT consultancy, has hired Prasamit Kalita as a principal in the firm’s digital practice.

Based in New York City, Kalita will focus on advising banking and financial services firms on their technology strategy.

He brings more than 15 years of experience working in the consulting, financial services, and media industries, with a focus on finance, risk, and business intelligence. He has deep expertise leading risk management and regulatory mandates, executing strategy projects across IT, leading internal consulting initiatives, and building high-performance teams.

Kalita spent the last two years running TPI, a New York-based startup he founded. The firm’s goal was to provide a socially conscious platform for affordable financial planning.

Before that, he spent five years at Deutsche Bank’s New York office, where he was VP and head of corporate strategy, intelligence & customer insights in the corporate & investment banking division. He was also previously Americas leader for corporate risk management, governance & controls in the corporate finance division.Zinnov hires Prasamit Kalita as principal in digital practiceBefore joining Deutsche Bank, Kalita spent six years at the Bengaluru office of Thomson Reuters, where he was a manager in the financial & risk division and led the corporate strategy & competitive intelligence team in India.

Prior to that he spent a year as a research analyst at Grail Insights (formerly management consultancy Monitor Group) and two years at EY India, where he was a financial analyst.
