Kearney launches transactions and transformations practice
Global consulting firm Kearney has combined two of its existing practices – private equity and M&A (PEMA) and advanced transformation services (ATS) – into an enlarged service line named “transactions & transformations” (T&T).
The new multidisciplinary global practice will help private equity and corporate clients tackle end-to-end challenges in complex transactions and transformations.
“Globally, leading organizations are seeking more sophisticated and integrated M&A, Divestiture, and Transformation services,” said Bob Haas, global leader of the new T&T practice. “Through T&T, Kearney is making new investments and expanding our capabilities and capacity to serve our global clients on their most complex challenges.”
Based in New York, Haas previously served as global and Americas leader of the private equity and M&A practice. He is also a member of the Chicago-based firm’s board of directors.
Haas has extensive experience advising on strategy and transformational issues, including valuation, due diligence, merger integration, supply chain and IT transformation, restructuring, and shared services. He has deep expertise in financial services, consumer goods, and healthcare.
Haas joined Kearney in 1996. Before that he spent five years at market research firm IRI, where he was a vice president. He holds an MBA as well as a BS in industrial engineering from Rutgers University.
Kearney’s private equity and M&A practice has capabilities across strategy, due diligence, merger integration, and divestitures. The firm’s advanced transformation services practice supports clients with challenges in growth acceleration, cost structure resetting, and business disruption.
In Europe, Kearney’s T&T practice will also integrate the strategy and top line transformation (STLT) and leadership, change, and organization (LCO) practices. Alberto Fumo, who previously served as Europe lead of the private equity and M&A practice, will serve as Europe lead of the new T&T practice.
“Our T&T teams have a history of exceptional work and a reputation for accelerating business growth under challenging circumstances,” Fumo said. “Under the new unified practice, we will do this in a faster and more effective way with a much more integrated, multi-disciplinary team, leveraging the best of Kearney in shaping our client’s transformation journeys.”
2021 saw a record-breaking amount of private equity and corporate transactions – translating to a spike in demand for related advisory services.
Kearney has more than 3,600 people in offices across 40 countries and annual revenue of $1.3 billion. Kearney competes for high-profile management consulting contracts with the world’s largest companies alongside the Big Three strategy firms: McKinsey, Bain, and BCG.
