SierraConstellation Partners (SCP), a national interim management and advisory firm, has hired Taylor Sherman as a managing director in Houston.

Sherman brings nearly 20 years of management consulting and financial advisory experience to SCP, where he will oversee the firm’s Houston presence and support clients in industries including energy and utilities, industrials and manufacturing, real estate, and consumer products and retail.

Sherman has deep expertise advising on turnaround and restructuring, corporate finance, private equity, and asset management. He spent the last two years at consulting firm AlixPartners, where he was a senior vice president. Before that, Sherman spent five years at Alvarez & Marsal, where he was a senior associate.

He also previously spent four-and-half years at Heartland Industrial Partners, where he worked on the middle-market private equity firm’s successful turnaround. He began his career as an analyst at Wells Fargo.

Sherman holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business from Emory University.

He is also a well-respected member of the Houston community, a market where SCP continues to invest in delivering results and creating value for our clients.”

Founded in 2013, SCP provides services in interim management, financial restructuring, turnaround management, and performance improvement. The Los Angeles-based firm launched its performance improvement practice earlier this year with the addition of managing director Jim Peters.

SCP has approximately 40 people across offices in LA, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, and New York.

“I am excited to put my experience to work serving SCP’s clients and growing our presence in Texas, with particular enthusiasm for serving clients in my hometown of Houston,” Sherman said.
