Forbes names Deltek one of America's top employers

Deltek, a provider of software and solutions for project-based businesses, was recognized by Forbes as one of America’s 500 Best Employers in the midsize category.

For the ranking, Statista surveyed 60,000 Americans working for businesses with more than 1,000 employees. The anonymous respondents rated on scale of zero to ten how likely they would be to recommend their employer to friends and family. Respondents also rated their companies on factors such as working conditions, development opportunities, and compensation.

The final list compiled the top 500 midsize (1,000 to 5,000 employees) and top 500 large companies (5,000+ employees).

Deltek was ranked #192 in the midsize category. The Herndon, VA-based firm was founded in 1981 and provides software, advisory, and maintenance solutions and services to project-based businesses such as accounting, consulting, engineering and technology firms, as well as government contractors. Deltek’s solutions enable clients to manage financial and project accounting, compute cost and benefit analysis, calculate labor costs, and automate management functions.

The firm has approximately 3,000 people across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Some of the notable consulting firms on Forbes’ ranking of midsize employers included FTI Consulting (21), Protiviti (77), and Huron Consulting Group (237).
