Consulting firm Guidehouse has promoted Sarah Garnett to public sector health leader and Kristin Porter to head of the Department of Veteran Affairs account team.

Garnett has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial and federal healthcare markets, with a focus on driving growth and strategic initiatives in revenue operations, regulatory and legislative requirements, and disaster recovery. She has supported large-scale transformation initiatives at academic medical centers, research institutions, health systems, and federal agencies including the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Veteran Affairs, and Defense Health Agency.

Garnett joined Guidehouse in 2005 and was named a partner in 2020. Prior to joining the McLean, VA-headquartered management consultancy, Garnett was a research assistant and data specialist at Georgetown University Medical Center. She has a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree from Union College.

Porter has been at Guidehouse for the last 18 years, most recently focusing on the firm’s client relationship with Veteran Affairs. A partner since 2020, Porter also co-leads the firm’s (re)Vision change management offering.
