Claire Markwardt joins Q5 as North America leader
Claire Markwardt, an experienced management consulting leader, has joined Q5 Partners, a London-headquartered organizational change consulting firm, as managing partner of its North American business. She is based in Houston.
Markwardt succeeds Ged Brannan and Rick Dzavik, who led Q5’s North American operations in recent years. Brannan is relocating to the firm’s London headquarters, while Dzavik is leaving Q5 after nine years to pursue new opportunities in the tech sector.
Markwardt brings over 30 years of management consulting experience, with expertise in planning and delivering transformational and continual improvement via project management, organizational change management, and human capital advisory services.
She has led her independent consultancy Markwardt Performance Consulting for the last 12 years. The boutique firm focused on supporting energy sector clients with organization design and development/training, change management and project management services.
Before that Markwardt spent over 18 years at Accenture, where she was latterly a partner in the talent and organization performance practice. During her time at Accenture, Markwardt shaped the consultancy’s energy workforce transformation and sustainability offering and led many client engagements across the US and internationally.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
“Over the last decade, Claire has built a high-performance consulting practice in Houston across Energy and Infrastructure sectors,” Q5 stated in a blog post on its website. “We are thrilled to welcome Claire and her associates to Q5.”
Q5 was founded in 2008 and provides services in organization strategy, design, change and implementation, and development and culture. The firm works with clients in a range of industries, including financial services, energy, infrastructure, retail and consumer, TMT, and the public sector.
Q5 has more than 250 employees in nine offices across the UK, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Australia, and the US.
The consulting firm expanded into the US in 2013 with an office in New York. Q5 has another US office in Houston, which opened earlier this year to support its client work in Texas.
