AlixPartners adds former SEC enforcement accountant Trevor Donelan

Consulting firm AlixPartners has hired Trevor Donelan as a partner & managing director in its risk advisory practice.

Based in New York, Donelan spent the last eight years as a senior enforcement accountant at the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), where he led federal securities fraud investigations and worked closely with the US Attorney’s Office and FBI.

Donelan is technical and forensic accountant with expertise in accounting, complex securities fraud, and compliance issues. He has led investigations ranging from accounting fraud to cross-border market manipulation cases.

Prior to joining the SEC, Donelan spent seven years at StoneTurn Group, a risk and compliance consulting firm, where he was a managing director. Before that he spent five years at Deloitte, where he was a manager in the forensic and dispute consulting practice.Trevor Donelan, Partner & Managing Director, AlixPartnersHe began his career in the audit business of Arthur Andersen.

Donelan has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Richmond and is a certified public accountant.

Donelan’s hiring brings the number of former SEC enforcement accountants employed at AlixPartners to six. The other five are Matt Jacques, Justin Sutherland, Brad Mroski, Susan Markel, Jim Barratt.
