Resultant, an Indianapolis-headquartered technology consulting firm, has hired Greg Layok, a former managing partner at consulting firm West Monroe, as chief executive officer.

Layok succeeds Mark Caswell, who has led the firm since 2019, when private equity firm Renovus bought the consulting arm of Katz, Sapper & Miller. The consultancy was later sold to Investcorp in 2021 and subsequently rebranded to Resultant.

During its four years of private equity ownership – under the leadership of Caswell – Resultant rapidly grew from 60 employees to nearly 500 across nine offices in the United States.

Caswell will stay on as an advisor to assist with the leadership transition. He will also join the firm’s board of directors.

“The last several years have been an incredibly exciting time at Resultant, and I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to lead and grow this company alongside the most talented team I’ve ever worked with,” said Caswell. “I’m excited to continue helping the company as a board member and advisor and look forward to Resultant’s next chapter with Greg Layok at the helm.”

Layok brings more than 25 years of consulting experience with a track record building high-performing teams. He spent the last 13 years at West Monroe, a 2,400-person management and technology consultancy, where he held several executive leadership. Layok most recently served as managing partner for technology, overseeing a significant expansion of the firm’s digital consulting offering – including in product engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, and analytics.

Before West Monroe, Layok spent six years at technology consultancy Thoughtworks, where he was managing director for North America.

Earlier in his career, Layok spent over five years at internet consulting firm Viant, where he was a client partner. He began his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

Layok has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.

“The opportunity to lead an organization with a proven track record and strong growth trajectory like Resultant’s is incredibly meaningful, and I am excited about the potential of the organization to drive even greater impact for clients nationwide,” Layok said.

Resultant works with government agencies and private sector clients. The firm’s consultants deliver services in strategy and planning, advanced data analytics, holistic managed services, application development, and cloud and network solutions.
