Greig Taylor joins AlixPartners as a Managing Director at New York office
Management consulting firm AlixPartners has added Greig Taylor as a managing director at its Investigations, Disputes & Risk practice. Taylor is a recognized expert witness in international disputes and thought leader in arbitration. He joins AlixPartners from rival turnaround and legal consultancy FTI Consulting.
AlixPartners is a leading management consulting firm, particularly adept in the areas of turnaround and restructuring, litigation, and investigations. The firm recently bolstered the leadership and capabilities of its Investigations, Disputes & Risk practice with the addition of Greig Taylor as Managing Director. He will be based out of the firm’s New York City headquarters.
Taylor boasts deep experience in damages assessment and related issues, and in expert testimony related to international disputes. He has consulted on, and testified in, numerous international arbitrations across the world. Taylor also has experience in forensic accounting and financial investigations in an international context, as well as in the economic determinations of contracts and agreements.Previously, Taylor was with rival FTI Consulting for almost eight years, serving as a managing director and then as a senior managing director in the firm’s economic and financial consulting group. Before that, Taylor worked at Deloitte for nine years, starting as an audit manager dealing with energy, infrastructure, and utilities companies. Later he served as a senior manager at the Big Four firm, working on international disputes and large-scale investigations from Deloitte’s offices in London and New York. Taylor started his career as an auditor at former Big Five accounting and consulting firm Arthur Andersen.

Taylor has received a number of accolades in the legal consulting community. He has been named on the international Who’s Who Legal-Arbitration list every year since 2014 as a leading expert witness and a foremost expert in the US. He has also been named on Who’s Who Legal’s ‘Top 100 Consulting Experts’ list every year since 2015, and was also named a Though Leader in Arbitration by the same publication earlier this year.
Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in modern history from the University of Manchester, as well as a certification as a chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
AlixPartners recently strengthened its executive leadership team with the appointment of Lisa Carnoy to the position of chief financial officer, as well as the appointment of Don Schneider as the firm’s first chief people officer.
