Turnkey Consulting, a London-headquartered risk consulting firm, has appointed experienced marketing leader Emily Harnish as a non-executive director on its board.

Based in Dallas, Harnish will support Turnkey with its growth plans in the United States, where it currently has an Atlanta office.

Turnkey earlier this year hired Brian MacFarland as managing director for North America.

“Working with highly experienced external advisors based on our business need has been a successful policy for Turnkey, so we are delighted to welcome Emily to the team. She brings a wealth of experience and marketing know-how to the board, as well as all-important understanding of the US market,” said Richard Hunt, Turnkey’s founder and CEO.Turnkey Consulting adds Emily Harnish as non-executive directorHarnish has more than 25 years of marketing experience, having held functional leadership roles across large companies in professional services, technology, and communications. She is currently CMO at CivicPlus, a government technology consultancy.

Before that, Harnish was Americas GM at Qualtrics, head of US SMB marketing and operations at Microsoft, senior director of marketing at T-Mobile, and marketing director at Dell. Earlier in her career, Harnish was a product marketing manager at Texas Instruments.

She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University.

“Turnkey has built a successful business model in the various countries in which it operates around the world. I’m excited to provide input into replicating that for the crowded US space,” Harnish said. “The key will be communicating Turnkey’s differentials, many of which are based around its innate understanding that security is about far more than technology - successful implementations revolve around the human element and working as a cohesive team – and identifying the market opportunities that this opens.”

Turnkey was founded in 2004 and has more than 150 employees across offices in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the US. The firm provides consulting in integrated risk management, identity and access management, and cyber and application security.
