AlixPartners adds fintech expert Mark Flamme as Managing Director
Global management consultancy AlixPartners has welcomed payments and financial technology industry expert Mark Flamme to the firm’s Enterprise Improvement group as a Managing Director. Flamme, who will be based out of AlixPartners’ Chicago office, will also work closely with the firm’s Financial Services practice.
Mark Flamme brings over three decades of consulting experience in strategy and operations to the new role, with particular expertise in fintech and payments. Flamme has experience integrating new digital technologies with payment strategies for fintechs, banks, and other organizations.
Before joining AlixPartners, he was a Vice President and Partner at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company) for four-and-a-half years, leading the consultancy’s payment strategy services in its North America financial services practice. Some of his engagements included developing a retail banking digital strategy for a major international bank, leading a digital transformation for a major APAC bank, and creating a business case for a payments joint venture between a top US bank and a fintech firm.Before that, Flamme was a Principal at Booz Digital and at Booz & Company’s banking practice, where he focused on supporting retail financial services firms with digital transformations. Prior to his time with Booz/Strategy&, Flamme was a Director of West Monroe Partners’ Midwest Banking practice for about two years, during which time he doubled the practice’s size, as well as its revenues.
Before West Monroe, Flamme worked at Deloitte for a decade in several management roles, supporting financial services clients with strategy and operations advisory. Before his consulting career, Flamme worked in the area of process improvement engineering.
He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
