Simon-Kucher appoints Rick Spear as partner in New York financial services practice
Simon-Kucher, a global sales and marketing consultancy, has appointed Rick Spear as a partner and leader for capital markets and asset and wealth management in North America.
Based in New York, Spear has been a senior advisor at Simon-Kucher for the last three years. He has 40 years of experience in management consulting and financial services, with a focus on growth via business model innovation and optimization of product-market fit. Spear has expertise working with banks, exchanges and marketplaces, asset and wealth managers, asset servicers, and technology vendors.
He was previously a managing director at fintech firm Investment Technology Group (ISG), a partner in the financial advisory practice of PwC, and a managing director and head of the US capital markets practice at Oliver Wyman.
Spear began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on trading and portfolio management systems.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
