CGI Federal to acquire IT consultancy Aeyon
CGI Federal, the US subsidiary of Canada-based IT consultancy CGI, has agreed to acquire Aeyon, a Vienna, VA-based federal IT consulting firm.
Enlightenment Capital, a Washington, DC-based private equity firm, created Aeyon in 2021 through the merger of two portfolio companies. Aeyon has 725 employees providing federal clients with consulting in mission services, digital transformation, data management and analytics, engineering and science, and financial management.
CGI’s acquisition of Aeyon, which is slated to finalize in Q3 2024, will expand its relationships with key national security clients such as the FAA, multiple branches of the US military, and NASA.
“CGI and Aeyon share the same values and culture, and the combination of our firms further strengthens our position as a partner of choice for end-to-end services and mission-critical solutions across the U.S. Government,” said Stephanie Mango, president of CGI Federal.
CGI has 80 offices in the US and 400 locations globally. The firm has 90,000 employees and annual revenue of CA$14.30 billion.
“We are thrilled to combine our capabilities, strengthen our offerings and advance our history of delivering innovative, trusted digital transformation, data, and intelligent automation services and solutions to our clients,” said Sunny Singh, president and CEO of Aeyon.
CGI last year acquired Momentum Consulting Corp., a Miami, Florida-based IT consultancy.
