Trinity Consultants, a Dallas-headquartered environmental consulting firm, has acquired Environmental Compliance & Safety Inc. (ECS), a Sherman, MS-based environmental and safety consulting firm.

Founded in 2002, ECS provides consulting services in air, water, and hazardous permitting strategies and evaluations. The firm helps clients achieve compliance through monitoring and reporting, assessments and sampling, identification of health and safety issues, and virtual and on-site training.

ECS has 16 employees listed on LinkedIn and offices in Sherman and Brandon, MS.

Trinity Consultants says its acquisition ECS will strengthen its position as an environmental, health, and safety (EHS) leader in the Gulf/Southeast market.

“ECS shares our ambition and ability to deliver project excellence and exceptional responsiveness, rooted in local compliance requirements and strengthened by a broader understanding of global environmental and safety issues and their impacts on the client's business," said Shishir Mohan, Trinity Consultants' managing director of the Gulf/Southeast. "Their esteemed reputation, synergistic cultural values, and highly skilled staff will be an asset to our people, clients, and partners around the world.”

ECS will join Trinity’s environmental consulting business, with principals Kirk Shelton and Brian Ketchum playing a key role in the business. The ECS team will continue to operate from their Sherman and Brandon locations.

"We're thrilled to join forces with a global environmental consulting firm that will build on and extend our ability to help clients navigate the highly complex regulatory landscape and deploy and execute solutions to their most complicated environmental and safety challenges," said Shelton.

Trinity last year acquired Longman Lindsey, a New York-based acoustical consulting firm, and Waid Environmental, an Austin-based engineering and environmental services firm.

Trinity was itself acquired by private equity firm Oak Hill Partners in 2021.

Founded in 1974, the consulting firm has over 1,800 professionals globally delivering EHS, engineering, and scientific-focused consulting, technology, training, and staffing services to clients in the industrial, energy, manufacturing, mining, life sciences, and commercial/institutional sectors.
