Trinity Consultants acquires Longman Lindsey

Trinity Consultants, a Dallas-headquartered environmental consulting firm, has acquired Longman Lindsey, a New York-based acoustical consulting firm.

Founded in 2013, Longman Lindsey advises design firms on acoustical aspects of buildings. The firm offers consulting services across architectural acoustics, room acoustics, modeling, sound masking, environmental noise control, product verification, and troubleshooting.

Longman Lindsey has 19 team members, according to its website.

As part of the transaction, the Longman Lindsey team – including president and founder John Longman – will join Trinity’s built environment division.

AEC Advisors, an M&A and corporate finance consultancy specializing in the architecture, engineering, and construction sector, advised Longman Lindsey on the transaction.

"This partnership allows us to amplify our strengths and expand our market reach in groundbreaking ways."

Trinity earlier this autumn acquired Waid Environmental, an Austin-based engineering and environmental services firm.

Trinity is a portfolio company of Oak Hill Partners, which acquired it in 2021. The consultancy has more than 1,000 professionals globally delivering EHS, engineering, and scientific-focused consulting, technology, training, and staffing services to clients in the industrial, energy, manufacturing, mining, life sciences, and commercial/institutional sectors.
