Drees & Sommer expands into US with acquisition of VVA Project & Cost Managers
Drees & Sommer, a Germany-based construction and real estate sector consulting firm, has acquired VVA Project & Cost Managers, a New York-based consulting firm.
Founded in 1994, VVA provides a comprehensive portfolio of project management and quantity surveying services for clients across the US. The firm’s advisory offerings include project and cost planning, due diligence and site selection, detailed cost estimating, procurement and bid management, design monitoring, construction administration, and cost control.
VVA works on high-profile projects ranging from corporate headquarters to urban revitalization efforts and laboratory and office fit-outs.
The firm has 120 employees listed on LinkedIn and 11 offices in the US, as well as an international location in London, UK.
The acquisition of VVA marks Dress & Sommer’s entry into the US market. The Stuttgart-based firm says the deal is part of its global expansion strategy, which aims to strengthen its market position and service offerings in the US.
