Logistics consultancy Russell-Kroese Partners launches in Omaha

Russell-Kroese Partners (RKP), a consulting firm focusing on the rail, logistics, and real estate development sectors, has launched in Omaha, Nebraska.

The firm is led by managing partners Rob Russell and Shawntell Kroese, who bring extensive experience across the extended commercial supply chain.

The team also includes senior consultants Samantha Galltin, Jay Olberding, and Angela Maurstad.

RKP’s advisory offerings span contract development, carrier negotiations, transload facility development, market studies, intermodal strategies, network optimizations, commodity specific support, rail financial analyses, and logistics sustainability programs.

We have excelled in the logistics world for decades and together, leverage that experience for the benefit of clients,” said Russell.

Russell is a transportation expert with 23+ years of executive logistics experience. He has expertise in strategy, M&A, industrial and port development, rail switching, and rail financial analysis.

Russell was previously SVP for marketing and commercial strategy at Omnitrax, interim president at Progressive Rail, and AVP for network economic and industrial development at Union Pacific. Before that, he served in the US Navy, where he was assistant resident officer-in-charge of construction and director of facility support.

Russell has an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Rutgers University.

“It’s critical for us as a team to continuously deliver value to our clients by providing strategies and implementation support that balances the business requirements with the desired outcomes for the communities where they are located. This is the central theme of Russell-Kroese Partners, and is something we have specific expertise in,” Kroese said.

Kroese has 27 years of logistics experience, with expertise in rail and truck commodity management, rail sales and marketing team training and development, and sustainability initiative advancement.

She most recently spent four years in the sustainability and sales operations division of Werner Enterprises. Before that, Kroese spent 23 years at Union Pacific, where she was latterly a vice president.

She has an MBA from Creighton University and a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
