DLA hires Alex Islamov as leader of cybersecurity practice

DLA LLC, a Fairfield, NJ-headquartered internal audit and accounting advisory firm, has hired Alex Islamov as a managing director and leader of its cybersecurity practice.

Based in Chicago, Islamov brings more than 18 years of leadership experience developing, implementing, and overseeing security risk strategies for Fortune 500s, public sector organizations, and highly regulated industries.

He has deep expertise in enterprise security governance frameworks, cyber resilience, and risk strategies for IT governance and compliance.

Islamov previously spent three years with MorganFranklin Consulting, where he was a director in the cybersecurity strategy and GRC practice.

Before that, he was a risk advisory senior manager at Baker Tilly, an advisory manager at Deloitte, and a risk assurance manager at EY. Earlier in his career, Islamov was an IT auditor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
