Maine Pointe launches AI-powered supply chain solution TVO Control Tower
Maine Pointe, a Boston-based supply chain and operations consulting firm, has launched TVO Control Tower, an AI-powered solution designed to help organizations gain control of fragmented supply chains across procurement, logistics and operations.
Maine Pointe says the solution combines AI with deep human expertise to help C-suite leaders make better and faster decision through real-time, actionable insights.
As organizations continue to face supply chain volatility and inflationary pressure, the solution can help deliver operational resilience, efficiency, and visibility.
“Our AI-powered TVO Control Tower provides a unified, data-driven lens that turns complexity into clarity, accelerating performance improvement, mitigating risk, and enabling more confident decision-making,” said Joseph Esteves, CEO of Maine Pointe.
TVO refers to “Total Value Optimization,” Maine Pointe’s proprietary supply chain improvement methodology. TVO occurs when an organization can dynamically anticipate and meet demand through the synchronization of its buy-make-move-fulfill supply chain – delivering the greatest value to customers and investors at the lowest cost to the business.
Maine Pointe says TVO Control Tower is already helping clients realize transformational results. For example, a specialty chemicals firm leverage real-time logistics visibility to reduce total logistics spend by 6-8%, while an agricultural equipment manufacturer achieved millions in Ebitda improvements through network optimization and advanced business planning.
The solution’s core capabilities include planning (inventory and working capital analytics, sales and operation planning insights); procurement (spend profile analytics, procurement performance analytics); logistics (transportation optimization, warehouse analytics); and operations (manufacturing, labor efficiency, and quality analytics).
Maine Pointe says TVO Control Tower’s models learn from each client’s unique situation and needs.
“We don’t deploy off-the-shelf algorithms our analytics engines are trained on client-specific datasets, incorporating both structured and unstructured data sources,” said Nathanael Powrie, senior director, knowledge management and data analytics. “This customization enables more accurate forecasting, scenario simulation, and decision support aligned to real-world operating conditions tailored to the industries we serve.”
Maine Pointe has more than 200 employees across the US, Canada, UK, Switzerland, and China providing consulting in operational excellence, supply chain resilience, sourcing optimization and procurement, data analytics, and sustainability.
The consultancy was founded in 2004 and in 2019 was acquired by SGS, a multinational inspection and certification firm.
