BRG adds Matt Mohwinkel as managing director in business development

Berkeley Research Group (BRG), an Emeryville, CA-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Matt Mohwinkel as a managing director in its business development group.

Based in Phoenix, Mohwinkel brings more than 25 years of experience advising corporate and law firm clients on compliance programs, internal and government investigations, and commercial litigation.

He was most recently a business development director for legal, compliance, and risk advisory services at BDO. Before that, Mohwinkel was a global account director at Epiq, a managing director at Ankura, a director at Navigant, and a VP at Xerox Litigation Services.

Earlier in his career, he was a business development director for financial advisory services at Deloitte.

Mohwinkel has a juris doctor from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College.

The consultancy recently welcomed Hans Leonard, a former economist at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, as a director in its energy and climate practice.
