Consulting firm ZS launches new office in Bangalore
Evanston, IL-based consultancy ZS has announced the opening of its third office in India. The new Bangalore location expands the management consultancy’s global footprint to 23 offices.
Founded in 1983 by a pair of Northwestern University marketing professors – Prabhakant Sinha and Andris Zoltners – ZS is the world’s largest firm focused on improving performance and market share through end-to-end sales and marketing solutions. The company’s more than 6,000 professionals support clients in the life sciences and healthcare industries, among others, with deep customer insights, analytics, operations, and technology offerings.
The company has worked with many of the largest pharmaceutical and medical device firms, including Bayer, GSK, Roche, Thermofisher Scientific, and Boston Scientific. ZS has 9 offices in the US including its Evanston, Illinois headquarters, 6 offices in Europe, and 5 offices in Asia – including 2 offices in India in Pune and New Delhi. The Indian offices are home to especially large hubs that host the firm’s Capability and Expertise Centers.Now the global consultancy has opened a third office in India. The Bangalore office will increase ZS’ capabilities in leading-edge analytics and technology solutions, as demand for advanced analytics services continues to boom.

The Bangalore location will be led by ZS Principal Shankar Viswanathan, a more than 18-year veteran of the firm. Viswanathan currently leads ZS’ advanced data science group in India, which solves client problems with data, AI, and machine learning platforms. Before that, he was the office managing principal for the firm’s largest office in Pune.
ZS expects to hire up to 200 people at the Bangalore office over the next three years. "The investment in our new location will build on our strategic success and will allow us to continue growing our unique talent and capabilities in advanced analytics and technology," remarked Viswanathan.
