J.S. Held, a Jericho, NY-based technical and forensic advisory firm, has hired Irvinder Singh Lail as head of global capability.

Based in Gurgaon, India, Singh Lail brings more than 25 years of experience leading operational transformation, talent initiatives, and Six Sigma process improvement for professional services, financial services, and technology firms.

In his new role with J.S. Held, he will advance the operational buildout of the firm’s global service model and refine how it coordinates work across time zones. Singh Lail will also be responsible for expanding centers of expertise and standardizing shared platforms.

J.S. Held has offices spanning the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions. The firm has an India office in Mumbai.

“The next phase of J.S. Held’s growth depends on how deliberately we build the firm, focusing not just on where we operate but on how our teams connect across regions to serve clients as one organization,” said Lee Spirer, president and CEO of J.S. Held. “Irvinder brings the experience to further develop the operational system behind our global model and to identify and source the specialized talent that extends the reach of our expert teams.”

Singh Lail joins from Alvarez & Marsal, where he focused on building the firm’s global capability center in India. Before that, he was a senior director in Bain & Company’s global business services practice in India.

Earlier in his career, Singh Lail was a director in the financial services advisory practice at EY India.

He holds an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and a bachelor’s degree in computers from Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya.

“AI and digital technology will continue to advance our service model allowing experts across regions to work as one team. I look forward to partnering with leaders across the firm to further develop this collaborative tech-forward architecture," said Singh Lail.

J.S. Held has 1,500+ people across five continents providing services in technical and scientific advisory, strategic advisory, digital and data, financial investigations, valuation, and risk.

The firm recently welcomed Jessica Larson as senior vice president of digital transformation.
